When to plant the flower bulbs?

The best time to plant daffodils is the fall (late October) or around the first frost. The ground needs to be cooled but remains workable. Daffodils prefer a direct sun light and well-drained soil.

In general: Plant each bulb, tip up at a depth three times the bulbs height. The bulbs should be planted about 6 inches apart.

Exception: in very cold or warm climates you need to plant the bulbs a couple of inches deeper. Add a layer of mulch on top of the soil. This helps to insulate the bulbs from extreme temperatures.

Bloom times
Bloom times can vary by variety and by region and differs from very early spring tot the beginning of summer.
